When Egyptian hieroglyphs were later deciphered, an inscription was found that set out the terms of a mutual defence treaty between Ramses II and the king of the Hittites, Hattusilis. Anatolia and its peoples were culturally, economically and socially so far advanced during St. Paul`s time that an acceptance of Christ`s teachings here would mean their acceptance throughout the world.
