I S T A N B U L
Imperial capital which has been host to three of the greatest
empires of the world, the Roman, Byzantine and the
Ottoman. No matter where the visitor wishes to travel in Turkey, we strongly urge him to consider a stop-over in this fabled city. Rising from the sparkling waters of the Bosphorus into a skyline of domes and delicate minarets, Istanbul bridges the two continents of Europe and Asia.
Upon your arrival here you will
quickly be a witness to the grandeur and majesty of her
past which still lingers around her cobbled
streets, worn pavements, palaces, mosques, cisterns and
magnificent churches. |
| C L A S S I C A L C I T I E S Possibly one of the greatest archaeological and historical regions in the world is the Aegean coast of Western Turkey. This is where so many fertile ideas took root and laid the groundwork of what we know today. Geography, medicine, philosophy, science, architecture, city planning, mathematics, astronomy, epic and lyric poetry all began here. The visitors will be amazed when history comes alive in front of their eyes. |

T U R Q U O I S E C O A S T Once you have set your eyes on the breathtaking scenery of the Turquoise coast of Turkey, there will be little doubt in your mind as to why Anthony and Cleopatra spent as much time around here as they did. The majestic Taurus mountains form a fertile backdrop to the vast and deserted beaches hugging the Mediterranean shoreline. Spring arrives early and summer... almost never leaves! The warm and friendly people of the area like to boast of their 300 days of uninterrupted sunshine. Antique cities, lace-like bays, quaint fishing villages, and accommodations ready to please even the most discerning traveler. |
| H I T T I T E H E A R T L A N D Three thousand years ago the Hittites rivaled the Egyptians as the greatest power on earth. Yet until a century ago the ancient Hittites were a mystery race. When Egyptian hieroglyphs were later deciphered, an inscription was found that set out the terms of a mutual defence treaty between Ramses II and the king of the Hittites, Hattusilis. Hittite civilization runs between the 17th and 12th centuries B.C. They were the only ancient civilization to exist and develop in inhospitable mountainous country. |

S T P A U L If it had not been for the ancient Anthiochenese of southeastern Turkey, the word "Christians" may never have evolved. Anatolia and its peoples were culturally, economically and socially so far advanced during St. Paul`s time that an acceptance of Christ`s teachings here would mean their acceptance throughout the world. Bearing that in mind, St. Paul set out on his extensive travels throughout Anatolia, preaching as he went along, and literally laying the roots of Christianity that has evolved into our present day. A retracing of those travels through this land will find increased appreciation by Christians, their heritage and respect for those who walked before them. |
| S E V E N C H U R C H E S The emotional ties and feelings people can have in terms of physical and geographical origins are especially important for the deeply faithful Christians. Second only to Israel and Jerusalem, Turkey is where Christian history and legend has very strong relations with the land. Probably the most important element in this respect is that all of the Seven Churches of Revelation are in Turkey. | ![]() CLICK HERE to view ITINERARY |
